But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Philippians 3:20

Recently, more than ever, times are extremely trying and evil seems to be running rampant and sin being celebrated.

God wants our hearts focused away from the love of the world and the love of money. Pride, with all its attached sin. All of this leads to brokenness, heavy burdens, sorrow and eventually death.

He desires for us to fix our eyes on the eternal, on His soon coming kingdom. On what is unseen.

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:18

Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things.

Philippians 3:19

We will see and hear many things that are concerning to us as believers. Things that make us shake our heads in disbelief. Things that our spirit is sensitive to.

We must not be conformed to this world. We can certainly love and pray for others without being hateful.

As followers of Christ, we are to set good examples, neither condoning nor condemning them but allowing God to be the judge. But again, we must stand our ground firmly and lovingly.

We must also remember, this is not our home. We’re only passerby’s.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Romans 12:2

For this world is not our home; we are looking forward to our everlasting home in heaven.

Hebrews 13:14

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

John 14:3

We all have sinned and fallen short of Gods glory. (Romans 3:23)

Christians, the ones I know at least, we know we’re not perfect. But we try again and again. Throwing off the sin that so easily entangles us and we run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

We get it and we keep trying and keep seeking truth.

But there are some things that as I said earlier, our spirit picks up as evil. That’s when we’re reminded that we are in the world, but not of it.

So, remember when you’re struggling with the world so blatant about sin and parading it in front of us, boldly.

When you’re accused of being haters and whatever else is thrown at us, simply because we adhere to sound doctrine, keep your faith… our time is short.

We believe in the promise of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ.

We have it on good Authority and promise that both now and in the time to come, we will be “citizens of heaven” and Christ Jesus our King. 👑

Many Blessings,

Connie
