Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year!  There is no better time to worship and sing praises to our Savior, Jesus Christ.  With all there is to be heartbroken about across the globe, we can take comfort in the incredible peace, love and joy we have in Christ!

Scripture tells us that Jesus is the Prince of Peace, that God is love, that the Father loves us just like He loves Jesus, and that the kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit!

In fact, if you trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the bible says that you are a child of God!

Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV)
“For unto us a Child is born, [u]nto us a Son is given; [a]nd the government will be upon His shoulder.  And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace [emphasis mine].”

1 John 4:7-8 (NKJV)
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.  He who does not love does not know God, for God is love [emphasis mine].”

John 17:20-23 (NKJV)
Jesus Prays to the Father
“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.  And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:  I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me [emphasis mine].”

Psalm 98:4-9 (NKJV)
“Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth; [b]reak forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises.  Sing to the Lord with the harp, [w]ith the harp and the sound of a psalm, [w]ith trumpets and the sound of a horn; [s]hout joyfully before the Lord, the King.  Let the sea roar, and all its fullness, [t]he world and those who dwell in it; [l]et the rivers clap their hands; [l]et the hills be joyful [emphases mine] together before the Lord…”.

Romans 14:17 (NKJV)
“…for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy [emphases mine] in the Holy Spirit.”

John 1:12 (NKJV)
“But as many as received Him [Jesus], to them He gave the right to become children of God [emphasis mine], to those who believe in His name…”.

FGGAM started this daily series of Christmas songs on December 14, 2023.  I’ll update this article with new Christmas music videos each day until Christmas!

For Day 5, here are two very different, but wonderful, songs.  The first is O Come, O Come Emmanuel performed by KING & COUNTRY.  This is a beautifully written and produced arrangement.  Powerful!  If you would like to learn more about this group, the for KING & COUNTRY website may be viewed HERE.

I hope you enjoy and maybe even sing along with O Come, O Come Emmanuel:

Here are the lyrics:

O come, O come, Emmanuel
And ransom captive Israel
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appears
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel

O come, Thou Day-spring, come and cheer
Our spirits by Thine advent here
And drive away the shades of night
And pierce the clouds and bring us light
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel

O come, Thou Key of David, come
And open wide our heavenly home
Make safe the way that leads on high
And close the path to misery
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel

And, for those of us who remember the joy of Christmas from our youth, who can forget Alvin and The Chipmunks?

Here is, perhaps, the most famous song recorded by “Alvin and The Chipmunks” – All I Want For Christmas (Is My Two Front Teeth):

Here are the lyrics:

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth
My two front teeth
See my two front teeth
Gee, if I could only have my two front teeth
Then I could wish you Merry Christmas

It seems so long since I could say
Sister, Susie sitting on a thistle
Gosh, oh gee, how happy I’d be, if only I could whistle

May God richly bless you!  Please come back to FGGAM’s website every day until Christmas for The 12 Days Of Christmas Songs (2023).
