And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.”

Revelation 12:10

Have you ever been minding your own business and all of the sudden, a negative or bad thought comes into your mind?

That has happened to me before, several times. This can take me straight to a gloomy thought process.

For instance, you’ll be minding your business and a thought might come into your mind;  “You’re not good enough for God” or this voice will tell you something like, “Remember what you did in your past?” or maybe even the thought “Are you really a Christian?”

And the list can go on and on.

His accusations will take away all our joy and make life a burden.

His accusations will rob us of our confidence in our salvation.

His accusations will destroy our relationships.

I know a lot of friends, and I’ve done it myself, who worry about their children, their marriages, finances, health and jobs. Only to think constantly of negative thoughts concerning these situations.

As we read earlier, Satan is the the accuser of the brethren. He gives negative thoughts. He wants you down in the pit of despair, concern and fret because he’s also the father of all lies. He’s a liar from the word go!

The true source of our happiness, the true source of our joy is, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

He is the way, He is the Truth and he’s the life.

John 14:6

He is not a man that he should lie.

Numbers 23:29

I’ve been trying to seek the face of God more, to know his truth more.

I figure if I know the truth and a lie comes at me, I’ll be able to detect the liar, a mile away.

Seeking his face and getting to know him and his character through Scripture, through prayer and through quiet time with him, has really helped me to distinguish between Gods voice and nudging and Satan’s.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

1 Corinthians 13:4-6

“But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.

Psalm 86:15

My prayer for you today is that you would listen to the truth, for He is worthy!

Many Blessings,

Connie
