I am so very sadden to hear of this news. I pray it is not so. I just got off the phone with one of my best friends, a Pastor who has always respected Randy for his work with children in New Mexico. In my circuit preaching over the last 13 years in Catron County, I have heard Randy’s name mentioned many times, always in such wonderful ways. People appreciated his good works. Church folk know him as Randy, not David. In this world that is so messed up, we must remember, people are innocent until proven guilty. A huge problem in the media, is that many reporters are quick to report the charges, but no background on the individual, reputations are damaged in seconds in America. Please keep Randy in your prayers.
David Randall “Randy” Rankin, 71, is charged with 28 counts of fraud spanning from February 2018 to November 2021.
