The Jerusalem Post is reporting that local residents of Makhachkala, in the Russian Republic of Dagestan, stormed the city’s airport today (10/29/2023) in an attempt to attack any Jews and Israelis arriving on a “Red Wings” flight from Tel Aviv.
According to the Israel Foreign Ministry, there were no reported Israeli casualties, although about 20 people were injured and received medical treatment. The arriving flight was reportedly a transitioning flight, and was scheduled to evacuate a small number of Israelis and Jews from Tel Aviv to Moscow.
Footage published on local Telegram channels showed Muslim pro-Palestinians chanting “Allahu Akbar” and stopping cars to check the documents of passengers – to ensure they were not Israeli or Jewish. In one of the videos that circulated on social media, a rioter was heard saying: “[w]e are here for the Jews, we came to kill them with knives and shoot at them.”

My brothers and sisters, this writer is so very concerned about the ongoing uprising of brazen, in-your-face hatred against the Jewish people. Following WWII and all of the worldwide declarations of “never again,” and after all of the political and military agreements and security provisions established following the war, “never again” seems to have been all but forgotten. Shame on us!
According to The Jewish Virtual Library, there was an estimated pre-WWII population of 10,431,569 Jews worldwide, of which 6,636,235 were murdered during WWII in a genocide. This represents the loss of approximately 63% of the Jewish population. How could such hatred and the NAZI extermination of millions of Jews be so quickly forgotten, disbelieved or denied?
This evil against Israel and the Jewish people must end! Please pray for the healing of nations and the peace of Israel.
