REUTERS reported late yesterday about a New Orleans-based 5th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling that the abortion pill mifepristone must be restricted, and ordered a ban on telemedicine prescriptions and shipments of the drug by mail.  The ruling, however, will not take effect until the United States (“US”) Supreme Court reviews the decision, presumably during its upcoming term beginning in October 2023.

A spokesperson for the US Department of Justice said that the Biden administration would appeal the ruling to the US Supreme Court.  President Joe Biden is a strong supporter of abortion and last year ordered the Food and Drug Administration to expand access to mifepristone.

My brothers and sisters, this bears repeating until we wake up.  Thank God for the wisdom and steps being taken in the right direction by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.  We do not have the right to play God and to determine who lives and who dies.

Life is a gift from God.  Medical doctors take an oath to protect and sustain life, not to participate in the intentional killing of babies.

The fact that parents would actually desire for their own unborn child to be killed is unfathomable.  Yet, many claim that abortion is a “human right.”  A “human right?”  We were made in the image and likeness of God Almighty.  Lord, have mercy on us!

Here are some scriptures showing how God feels about us:

Genesis 1:26-28 (NKJV)
“Then God said, ‘[l]et Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.’  So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.  Then God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘[b]e fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.’”

Psalm 139:13-16 (NLT)
“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.  Thank [Y]ou for making me so wonderfully complex!  Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.  You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.  You saw me before I was born.  Every day of my life was recorded in [Y]our book.  Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.”

Jeremiah 1:5 (NKJV)
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you…”.

1 Corinthians 1:18 (NKJV)
“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”

John 17:20-23 (NKJV) – The Father loves us just like He loves Jesus!
Jesus:  “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.  And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:  I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me [emphasis mine].”

Praise Jesus forevermore!
