The Best Father’s Day Gift Ever…

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Happy Father’s Day. I was thinking what I would pen this morning, it being Father’s Day. I thought about the taping I went to with Oprah Winfrey and Bishop T.D. Jakes on a Fatherless Generation. I thought about my own father and our relationship, my time at his graveside and my writing, The Graveyard Gem. I thought a lot about father’s this rainy morning. We have wonderful fathers, absent fathers, and I have prayed with some individuals that wanted to know who their father is.

The best gift you can give a father today, is to embrace the good whether they are living now or just in the recesses of your memory and forgive the rest.

The best gift you can give your father and yourself today, is forgiveness. Forgive them for not being perfect people. Forgiveness for not being there for you, for not providing, for not showing you love, and the list seems endless. Forgiveness covers it all. Some fathers are only a fantasy in the mind of what your heart desired.

Today, let’s celebrate Father’s Day because he was part of the plan for your life. Let’s allow God, the Good Father, the Best Father, work out all the details of fulfilling your God given destiny. You are loved with an everlasting love by your Heavenly Father.

Let’s Pray:

Father, thank you for being the best Father. Today we celebrate our earthly fathers, and we release any and all hurt by offering forgiveness.

Father, may this Father’s Day be different for many that may have not had a dad present or that they were close to. Thank you for filling that void in their lives with your presence. You are the best Father.

Father, thank you for being a Father to a world that needed to experience a loving Father. You gave it all so mankind could have communion with you. We give you thanks. Amen.

Have a blessed Father’s Day. Celebrate the day. You have a Heavenly Father that can handle all your life issues.

Father, we come to you today and pray in unison, in faith believing, the Lord’s Prayer from Matthew 6. Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
