My Iraqi friend and I were discussing our favorite recipes one day last week. She mentioned that her baked goods never seem to turn out right here in America, but that she was a good baker in Iraq. The conclusion we came to was that the flour is different.

I researched how our wheat is processed here and this is what I found out. Wheat kernels are made of three parts: bran, which is the hull and has the largest amount of soluble fiber, B vitamins, trace minerals and small amounts of protein; endosperm, which has protein, carbohydrates, small amounts of B vitamins, iron, and soluble fiber; and finally, there is germ which is a rich source of trace minerals, unsaturated fats, B vitamins, antioxidants and a minimal amount of high quality protein. To make white flour, they take the bran and germ portions off, grind the endosperm, then add the nutrients (B complex vitamins) they just removed and call it enriched bread. Enriched means ‘having added nutrients’. It makes no sense to me.

It’s similar to what religion does to LORD Jehovah. Looking at 1 John 5:7, we see the there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word (Jesus, see John 1:14), and the Holy Spirit, and these three are One.

We try to separate the Oneness of our LORD Jehovah or exclude Him all together and worship mere humans or strange deities. This ought not to be so beloved ones. Jesus said in Mark 12:32 that the LORD our God, the LORD is one. Jesus is the One that lay down His very life for us, died, then rose again so He could live in us, to fellowship with us and to flow from us to love hurting people everywhere.

Today is Palm Sunday. As we move towards Easter, I’m reminded of Jesus’ metaphor of His own death, burial and resurrection, as well as Him living in all who receive Him in John 12:23-24.

But Yeshua answered and said to them, “The hour has come for The Son of Man to be glorified. Timeless truth I speak to you: Unless a grain of wheat falls and dies in the ground, it remains alone, but if it dies, it yields much fruit.”

There are up to fifty kernels per head of wheat, which is up to 17,000 kernels in one pound! Our precious Saviour lay down His life so He could be the arms and feet all over the world through all who receive Him!

When you receive Him, you are one and you are complete in Him! See 1 Corinthians 6:17 and Colossians 2:10. This is so wonderful and we get to love others by Him! There is a word I love: perichoresis. It means a mutual indwelling without loss of personal identity, and flowing out of. I am my perfect expression of Christ in me the hope of glory, and you are your perfect expression of Him. It’s Jesus flowing out of me so it’s Him and me loving on people. You, too!

Jesus tells us to love one another as He has loved us. He says no person has ever seen God, but if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is fulfilled in us. He says if you’ve seen Him, you’ve seen the Father. This should be true of us. He says to owe no person anything but to love one another, for whoever loves his neighbor fulfills The Written Law. (John 13:34-35; 1 John 2:12 and Romans 13:8)

Precious LORD Jehovah, thank You doesn’t even come close the depth of our gratitude to You. Our hearts are sorrowful at Your immense suffering, yet, exploding with joy as You rose again! You are so Wonderful, sweet Saviour. We love you so very much. Help us to let You love others through us and to help the people You love to be set free in their minds, bodies and emotions. Show us the hearts of those who are hurting and love them, our precious King as we reach out to them, loving them with You. Restore the innocence of those who had theirs stolen as You did for me, my Love. Forever and ever we praise You and we worship You our Mighty King. So be it and amen.
