My brothers and sisters, the word of God says that there is no greater love than to willingly die for another.  Jesus set the example, which is especially at the top of our minds as we celebrate and worship on Palm Sunday and Resurrection Day over the next week or so.

Let’s pray for the families and co-workers of all those killed, asking for comfort and peace for the grieving, and for the cause to be discovered and used to prevent any recurrence.  The military performs life threatening work every day on behalf of our nation, whether in battle or training.  May God bless them all and keep them safe, in Jesus’ name.

Scripture to consider:

John 15:13 (NLT)
“There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

1 John 3:16 (NKJV)
“By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.”

Praise Jesus forevermore!
