Yesterday at Smiths grocery I did my usual thing of talking to all people, I love Jesus, I love all people! When I was walking up to the store an elderly lady was getting out of her car. She was walking with a cane making her way over to a shopping cart and I asked her if she needed some help, she said no I’m going to make my way to the motorized scooters. I told her to just wait and I will get someone to drive the scooter over to you and I asked my friend Donna of Smiths to drive the scooter over to her and she did. After I finished shopping the lady waved at me as she came out of the store and she said I knew you were a Christian man! I gave her a cross that my ministry friend Dwight makes, (pictured above) he has sent me several to hand out as I minister. The lady mentioned to me that manners are lost. Its called showing the love of Jesus! I always think of how I would like my Mommy and Daddy treated in situations. I see many elderly people who struggle, but many just turn away. Someday it may be you and I needing a motorized scooter! Let people always see Jesus in us, we are to be ambassadors for Jesus.

Last weekend I went to pick up Sharon’s Birthday dinner. When I was going out of the restaurant I saw a young couple approaching and I held the door for them. The couple looked at me like I just had handed them a thousand dollars! The man thanked me more than once! They has such smiles on their faces! PTL! The love of JESUS! I love being an ambassador for JESUS!

I love this from one of my favorite all-time Preachers, Adrian Rogers:

There’s never been a greater time to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The great revivalist Vance Havner said, “Too many are willing to sit at God’s table but not work in His field. …God has a place and purpose for you, somewhere for you to be and something for you to do. You never will be happy elsewhere, nor can you please God anywhere but there.”

Remind yourself today and say out loud: “I have been called into the ministry. I am saved to serve. God, make me a servant. God, make me a minister.” God has called you. Think what will happen if all of us really begin to minister. We’ll turn the world upside down and inside out for Jesus Christ. We could change the world for Jesus if we each understood we’ve been saved to serve. God has called you into the ministry. You don’t just sit in church to soak and sour but to serve.

  • Where have you served in your church?
  • What have been some of your hesitations about serving God?

Are you carrying out THE GREAT COMMISSION? It is a command from our LORD, not a suggestion! Look it up in your Bible!
