I read this post from my Dear Brother Chuck Akeley about 30 minutes ago. It impacted me so much. As I watched the news  today and saw the reports of women and children being killed, I wait and pray for a miracle from God to stop this attack on the innocent people of Ukraine. It is so very hard to watch and nobody is in Ukraine fighting with them, it hurts my heart a soul. Nuclear War is a threat if NATO was to enter Ukraine. So very heart retching. We must be in constant prayer. Dr. Jim Denison raised the question, “Why is there not a call for a National Day of Prayer in America for Ukraine?” Or World prayer? I am very troubled.

Here is Chuck’s message…..

I can only presume that anyone who was on the fence about the utter importance of not letting regimes, let’s say Iran for instance, acquire nuclear weapons is no longer on the fence. We are dealing with clearly unstable leadership in Russia. It’s sadly ironic that Ukraine was convinced several years ago to give up its nuclear deterrent in agreement with the very country threatening to use such weapons against it (and other countries of the world in the event of another world war). The fact that Russia even speaks publicly of nuclear weapons use is a sign of a situation that is unlikely to resolve solely due to diplomacy or as a result of the pricking of the offender’s conscience. Meanwhile, the US asserts that it will take all necessary military action one foot across from the Ukrainian border because a given country is already part of NATO (which presumably would carry the same risk in relation to Russia), but will watch a country one foot across the other side of the border be demolished and civilians killed by the same exact enemy, simply because of that distinction – human death and destruction be darned. I know there are a myriad of considerations in such matters and that there is highly classified intelligence most of us will never see, but I’m not speaking thoughtlessly. We are dealing with a spiritual matter involving great evil, about which we must seek the Lord, as Jesus is our Victor. Lord, Jesus, it is in Your name that I ask You to move mightily to protect the men, women and children of Ukraine and all others who are involved, and to supernaturally cut off the evil one’s efforts being waged from Russia!

Are Ukrainians “the best people on Earth”? Trusting God when we do not understand God

FGGAM Shares a Biblical Worldview Everyday:

“The Biblical worldview says there is a God—One who is personal, powerful and caring—who created the world and everything in it. It states unequivocally that man is created in God’s image, living in essence as God’s co-regent over creation. Mankind—born and unborn, rich and poor, able and disabled—has intrinsic worth. Almighty God is a sovereign God, ruler over nations, states, empires, and governments. He is to be worshiped and obeyed through the precepts and principles revealed in His infallible Word. He not only exists, but He is sovereign over all of history according to His wisdom and purposes, and He is intimately involved in every aspect of life.”

Franklin Graham, “A Biblical Worldview in Today’s Culture”
