Washington Irving wrote, “There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are messengers of overwhelming grief…and unspeakable love.”

I love this scripture on crying………I find myself weeping many times a day…….MANY TIMES! It is good for the soul……..weeping also means joy! Amen!

I started in radio in 1978 at the Minnesota State News Network as a news reporter. I carry that in my heart to this day as I report the news here at FGGAM everyday single day. YES 7 Days a week! FGGAM is a dedicated media source. I have so many buddies in local Media that are working hard everyday to keep their communicates informed. I pray for them constantly and all the reporters, news directors, owners, managers, sales people, dj’s……I am so blessed to still work with radio stations with our House of Hope Radio Ministry Program that airs on five stations in southwestern Minnesota. Those folks treat me so very well as does the Cottonwood County Citizen, we place scripture ads in the Citizen to help encourage folks. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL MEDIA!
Here is that love letter:
This one comes from Montana Republican Steve Daines and 70 other Senators. It was sent to the Acting Director of the Office of Management and Budget. And, like the other letters we’ve been reporting on, it points out how devastated local media is due to the coronavirus and asks the government to trickle down additional money to help them survive. READ IT [read more]
Many times the local media gets a bad rap. People like to trash the media and put everyone in the same basket, that is not fair and it is certainly not Christian.
My hometown of Windom, Minnesota population a bit above 4,000, has a full-time local newspaper. It comes out once a week, the Cottonwood County Citizen, local owner, local people working the news/sports beat and community events. The Citizen is always winning awards for excellence in many categories. Windom also has two full-time radio stations! KDOM AM/FM with local news and sports! KDOM AM/FM is on the air 24/7 keeping the area informed. Not many communities the size of Wndom are blessed with a local newspaper and two radio stations.
Part of the problem we have in this country is that we have all these Walter Cronkite wannabes on Facebook reporting false news.
