Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu kicked off his historic visit to eastern Africa on Monday with a memorial service at Entebbe, Uganda, to mark the 40th anniversary of Israel’s rescue of Jewish hostages. Telling the assembled veterans and officials that the Entebbe raid demonstrated that “good can prevail over evil, and hope can triumph over fear,” Netanyahu’s speech was followed by a summit on counter-terrorism with leaders from seven African countries.
