Dear FGGAM Family,

I am sadden to write to you today to let you know that Jared (Bo) Ellis, pictured above with his nephew Evian,Franchesca Radiation has passed onto glory. Bo had brain seizures yesterday and then passed on. He has been in the hospital for about a month since his truck wreck. This morning I ask you all to surround his dear, dear Mom, Robin in your prayers for healing at the loss of her 25 year old son.

I also come to you this morning and ask for prayers for Franchesca Stevens, pictured in this post, as she goes through her radiation treatments for breast cancer. Sharon has been a big help for Franchesca in getting her a protective blanket that helps lessen the effects of radiation. Write to us if you want more information on this protective blanket from radiation treatments.

Please pray for Pastor Ricky Gordon of FGGAM, Ricky has come on board here at FGGAM to help me, he is going through health issues, a sleep study is set for Thursday!

We have many people right now that have many challenges from, feeding their families to no job, to health issues. Please pray.

Many of you will remember the story of Jonathan Savage!!! PTL!!! He graduated this past weekend!

KGNS TV in Laredo gave us permission to share this story:

LAREDO, TX Despite being involved in an accident 8 months ago, a local high school senior walked the stage this weekend and receives his diploma…

We got a chance to talk to him about his road to recovery and what he plans on doing now. September 2nd 2015, the day that changed Jonathon Savage’s senior year. “All I remember is getting on the motorcycle but what I’ve heard is that I hear a rock in the road, hit a retaining wall, Savage says about the accident. He was test driving his friend’s motorcycle when it happened, causing him to get a spinal cord and brain injury. He was in coma for 11 days after the accident and then went to rehab, “I ended up breaking my thoracic spine, I was a complete paraplegic, once I got movement in my legs… that’s when the ball started rolling, Savage says. 21 days after the accident he was finally able to stand up. The determined 18-year old continued his education while still in the hospital. “It was a struggle I was able to manage my time doing therapy and school lots of late nights of no sleep,” he adds. Despite all the obstacles savage completed his education. About a month ago doctors told him he’s on the road to a full recovery and will be able to walk again.”

Doctors still don’t know how long it will take until then… But in the mean time he’s been doing physical therapy practicing for his walk across the stage, a very emotional moment during the graduation. Savage says the one thing that’s kept him going is his attitude, “got to stay positive, that’s the main thing that’s kept me alive staying positive. There’s no reason to be depressed because at the end of the day what is that going to change? Jonathan plans on studying at Texas Tech and will major in kinesiology.

HILLARY CLINTON WINS NOMINATION—WHAT’S NEXT?

DR. JIM DENISON
JUNE 08, 2016
Hillary Clinton has won the Democratic Party’s nomination for president. She won last night’s primaries in New Jersey, New Mexico, South Dakota, and California. CNN estimates that she now has 2740 delegates, far exceeding the 2383 needed to win.So much of life is unpredictable. Who would have imagined a year ago that Donald Trump would clinch his party’s nomination before Hillary Clinton won hers? When Golden State was down three games to one against Oklahoma City in the NBA playoffs, who would have predicted that they would now be up two games to none in the finals? Who would have thought that a tech giant like Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg could have his Twitter and Pinterest accounts hacked?

While change seems to be the unchanging principle of the universe, human nature doesn’t change. We still feel the same fears our ancestors felt. We still cherish the same desires for ourselves and our families. We still fight the same basic temptations. And we can still choose to live by God’s unchanging, perfect principles for our lives.

Consider the changing sexual ethics of our day. It’s conventional wisdom todaythat premarital sex is morally acceptable. However, a new studyshows that women who were virgins when they married are far less likely to divorce than those with multiple partners.

Only six percent of women who were virgins when they married were divorced within five years. But thirty-three percent of women with ten or more sexual partners before marriage were divorced within that time. God can redeem our mistakes, but these findings reinforce the wisdom of his perfect will for us.

French writer Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr was right: “The more things change, the more they are the same.” That’s why we should focus less on the changing issues of the day and more on the unchanging realities that matter eternally.

For instance, David Brooks, my favorite New York Times columnist, is calling for us to “put the spiritual and moral implications of everyday life front and center.” Brooks notes that “the soul can be elevated and degraded at every second, even when you’re alone not hurting anybody. Each thought or act etches a new line into the core piece of oneself.”

So as we face the temptations of our culture, “let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God” (2 Corinthians 7:1). As we face the discouragements of our day, let us choose to “rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer” (Romans 12:12).

And as we seek to love God and love people (Matthew 22:37–39), let us ask God’s Spirit (Ephesians 5:18) to make us more like God’s Son (Romans 8:29) for God’s glory (1 Corinthians 10:31).

Alphonse Karr warned: “Every man has three characters—that which he exhibits, that which he has, and that which he thinks he has.” Only God can make all three into the character of Christ. Would you make that fact your prayer today?

Hillary Makes History

Well, she finally did it. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has become the first woman to win the presidential nomination of a major political party.

Clinton carried four of six states up for grabs last night, including California. Polls had shown the California race was essentially tied. But when the votes were counted, it wasn’t close. Clinton won the Golden State by 13 points — 56% to 43%.

Clinton also won New Jersey, New Mexico and South Dakota. Sanders claimed victories in Montana and North Dakota.

With her victories last night, Clinton’s delegate count surged to 2,755 — well beyond the 2,382 needed to win. It’s worth noting, however, that she has only 2,184 pledged delegates won through the primary process. Superdelegates, who can change their minds until the ballots are cast at the convention, are the ones putting her over the top.

By the way, Donald Trump made history last night too. In the course of this primary contest, Trump shattered the record for the most votes won by a candidate seeking the Republican presidential nomination.

Looking Ahead

Barring some unpredictable development, the November election will be a choice between former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, Libertarian Gary Johnson and perhaps a center-right spoiler candidate in some states.

A new NBC News tracking poll finds Clinton leading Trump 48% to 44%. But when you factor in third-party candidates, the dynamics change significantly.

Offering voters the choice of Libertarian and Green Party candidates results in Trump leading with 40%, Clinton at 39%, Libertarian Johnson at 9% and Green Party nominee Jill Stein at 4%. If voters are given a generic choice of “Other,” the results are Trump 39%, Clinton 36% and “Other” 22%.

There is talk of Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) being the spoiler candidate. As you may know, Graham first adamantly opposed Trump. Then he seemingly came to grips with Trump as the GOP nominee, but is now withdrawing his support.

Pro-Life Victory

Pro-life conservatives are celebrating the results in North Carolina’s Second Congressional District, where Rep. George Holding handily defeated Rep. Renee Ellmers.

Ellmers came to Washington in the 2010 Tea Party wave with the perception that she would be a stalwart conservative. But in 2012, she opposed North Carolina’s marriage amendment. It passed with 61% of the vote.

On the eve of last year’s March for Life, Ellmers torpedoed a vote on legislation banning late-term abortions. Her actions tremendously embarrassed House Republicans and demoralized the pro-life movement, especially rank-and-file activists who were at the March.

Court-ordered redistricting this year scrambled North Carolina’s congressional map and set up the member vs. member primary. Holding won with 53% to Ellmers’ 24%. In fact, she almost finished third. Dr. Greg Brannon, another candidate in the primary, took 23%.

Government Gone Wild

As we all know, the Department of Veterans Affairs has lots of problems. For example, thousands of living vets can’t get healthcare because the VA has decided they are dead.Sadly, many veterans are dying while waiting for care.

Apparently, the VA has more important issues to deal with, like fundamentally transforming the notion of veterans’ healthcare itself. As today’s Washington Post declares: “VA Considers Gender-Confirming Surgery For Veterans.”

Perhaps you, like me, learned a new politically correct term today. If you’re wondering what gender-confirming surgery is, it used to be called a sex change.

Rep. Jeff Miller, chairman of the House Veterans Affairs Committee is outraged and demanding answers. “In my more than five years as House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs chairman . . . not once has anyone raised this issue as a pressing need,” Miller said.

“That’s why I’m calling on [VA Secretary Bob McDonald] to publicly explain why the VA should be in the business of performing sex-reassignment operations . . . when the department is struggling to provide even the most basic services to veterans,” Miller added.

I applaud Rep. Miller for calling out the administration’s misplaced priorities and abuse of your hard-earned tax dollars.

Here is more encouraging news: I told you yesterday that a school district in Michigan had paused its implementation of Obama’s bathroom order.

Now a school district in Virginia is also fighting back, appealing to the U.S. Supreme Court to stop this outrageous abuse of executive power.

The response has been powerful from the Windom area! Powerful movement of the Holy Spirit! Please keep the Windom Revival in your prayers! Dewey life verse

We thank the Lord for people like Dave Fjeld of the Cottonwood County Citizen who are helping to get the word out about the FGGAM  Revival in Windom August 26th and 27th! Here is an update that Dave wrote in the June 1st edition of the Citizen:

Revival plans come together
It may still be three months away, but plans for the Aug. 26-27 revival at the BARC Auditorium in Windom are already coming together.
In fact, the revival has a name: “Windom’s Hope in Jesus” and the starting time for the revival both nights is 5 p.m.
Dewey Moede, a pastor in New Mexico and Windom native, is spearheading the revival and is more than a little excited to bring the good news of Jesus to folks in his hometown, especially those who don’t know, or have never heard of, Jesus.
So, what developments have transpired since a story on the county page several weeks ago?
For starters, one of Windom’s finest pianists, Pat Fisher, will be tickling the ivories for the revival and Shari Hardaway Johnson, a popular Christian fiddle player from West Virginia, will be treating the audience to some outstanding music. Dewey says the two women will be leading revival-goers in music, both nights.
Dewey also will speak both nights.
Again, this is a non-denominational event, so Dewey has been rallying support for the revival by talking with pastors from churches in the Windom area. Such pastors as Rev. Gary Wiens at First Baptist and Pastor Sarah Tade at American Lutheran, the church in which Dewey was raised, have shown support for the revival. Retired pastor Dave Lightner, from Windom Evangelical Free, is also working locally to help make the revival a great event for Jesus.
And, as announced earlier, Windom natives Pastor Bob Elness, Franz Boelter and Paul Dokken will share their love for Jesus and the Windom community.
Dewey also is looking forward to honoring Windom Hall-of-Fame Coach Jack Kelly as well as all first responders.
“Fill the BARC for Jesus!” Moede says. “We want to come together in the love of Jesus to worship and praise Him and show our love for Cottonwood County, Jackson County — all of the Windom area.
“The Holy Spirit is moving so powerfully over Cottonwood County as we approach August.”
Here’s another interesting development. Dewey was contacted by Windom resident Clara Johnson, who, after hearing about the revival and Dewey’s need for prayer for the revival, gets together weekly with nine other women to pray for the revival.
When Clara contacted Dewey to tell him of her prayer meetings, she also told him, “Dewey, you must come and wake us up!”
Dewey’s reply: “The Holy Spirit is waking us all up!”
Things are shaping up and we’re still three months out. Stay tuned, there’s sure to be more updates.
Thank you Dave and the Cottonwood County Citizen for your kindness!
