Ties Strengthened Between Israel and China

Monday saw the launch of the Prime Minister’s Office Israel-China task force, led by the National Economic Council and the Israel Export Institute at the China-Israel Cooperation Conference at the Dan Hotel in Tel Aviv. The purpose of the task force is to establish a dialogue between the business sector, academia and government in both countries in order to expand ties at all levels. National Economic Council and Israel-China Task Force Chairman Prof. Eugene Kandel spoke of the dramatic effect of increased commercial ties with China, including large numbers of new, high-paying jobs in Israel and an overall improvement in the quality of life for everyone who lives in the Jewish State. Chinese officials added their own eagerness to tap into Israel’s hi-tech industries to address many of the needs of their own rapidly developing economy.
