We just got back from a road trip to Oklahoma. We are moving there after we close on our house in northern Maine this Thursday. We brought a load of stuff, left it at our oldest son’s house, looked at homes, put a bid on one and got ready to come back. The afternoon before we were leaving, the family told our realtor that they decided not to sell.

I was disappointed, but as I began to praise the Lord and to thank Him for providing the home of His choice, I heard the still, small voice, “Trust Me. I have a better home for you. Breathtaking better.”

I responded, “Okay, Father. Thank You for taking such great care of us.”

Ron and I both had peace about the housing situation and as we started our drive back to Maine, we talked about how the Lord has always taken care of us and that we will keep moving forward and leave it all to Him.

At one point during the trip, I looked up and saw a bird perched on the very top of a large tree. I love that! Here in northern Maine, the huge ravens  do that even in high winds. They just hang out and go with the flow! That was a great reminder to me that even when it seems wild, just trust Him.

I remember watching a movie called “Joshua”, and one part in particular blessed my socks off. Joshua was renting a barn and Pat, the priest went to see him. It was pouring outside and as Pat was talking to Joshua, he looked up and said, “You have a hole in the roof and it’s not raining inside!” Joshua’s response was, “I know.”

As simple as that! He wasn’t even concerned with it because He knew His Father had it covered.

When things seem kind of wild and I start to get a little wiggy, I hear the still, small voice saying, “No worries. I’ve got this.”

Today, I want to encourage you to pour out your heart to the Lord and to trust Him with the results. When the ride seems wild, fix your eyes on Him, praise Him, thank Him and then go with the flow!
