Kerry Meeting Arab League Leaders Ahead of PA Action at UN

Flags of Israel, the PA and the US (GRAPHIC)US Secretary of State John Kerry met with a delegation from the Arab League to discuss a resolution proposed to the UN Security Council by the Palestinian Authority demanding an Israeli retreat from the West Bank to the pre-1967 lines. The League reportedly supports the resolution and has demanded that the US not veto it in the Security Council. Various other diplomatic meetings and maneuvers related to the ideas included in the resolution, including the establishment of eastern Jerusalem as the capital of a Palestinian State and other proposals long rejected by Israel, are reportedly being carried out in London, Paris and at the UN in New York. The US State Department has thus far refused to commit itself to a veto of the resolution, with an official saying “If there’s a resolution that’s been tabled, we’ll analyze it and we’ll assess it and we’ll take it from there.” Read More
