My heart sank when I read this message from Lila Rose of LIVE ACTION! Thank the Lord for people like her! How can anyone ever think of killing a baby?
The Sanctity of life means nothing to many people in America. Look what is happening in New Mexico! I hear ‘crickets’ from much of the Church here. Shame on you New Mexico!
Abortion Free New Mexico: Guttmacher Confirms New Mexico as the Nation’s ‘Abortion Capital’
Lila Rose:
Should having a disability mean receiving a death sentence?
You and I would both unequivocally answer “no.” But for the son of popular YouTuber Jesse Ridgway, and so many other preborn babies like him, this was not the case.
Rather than being embraced as the irreplaceable gift from God that he was, this precious baby boy was killed at the hands of an abortionist… simply because he had been diagnosed with Down syndrome.
What makes this story so tragic is not just the fact that this baby was aborted for having a disability but the affirmation his parents received for their decision. While many people condemned their actions, others shared comments like…
“I support your decision; you’ve made the right choice.”
“I would’ve done the same thing.”
“They made the responsible[,] realistic decision.”
“Giving birth to a child knowing they have [a] disability is the most selfish thing.”
These sentiments weren’t just shared by everyday social media users either.
Another popular YouTuber, Asmongold, responded to the controversy saying, “I completely support aborting kids that will have Down syndrome. … I think it’s the right thing to do. … They’re going to be a burden to society. … And fundamentally it’s a tragedy, it’s horrible, but sometimes making that decision [to abort] is a mercy.”
Why is this attitude so common? Because of false assumptions about people with Down syndrome and other disabilities. And these assumptions are not limited to just a few individuals.
Countries like Iceland proudly proclaim that their nation is free of people with Down syndrome due to abortion.
This is not the eradication of a disease. This is eugenics.
In the fight for life, we often hear these questions raised: What if a baby is born with a disability? What kind of life would he or she have? Sadly, many people believe that abortion is the answer.
There remains the popular belief that people with disabilities have terrible lives and that they are somehow less worthy of the protection and dignity afforded to able-bodied individuals. This could not be more wrong. And we are going to prove it.
I am excited to announce that production has begun on a flagship Live Action film: Rise Above.
Rise Above is a feature-length sports documentary following the lives of extraordinary para-athletes as they pursue pinnacles of athletic achievement.

Each athlete featured in this documentary lives with a disability that, for many preborn children today, means a death sentence at the hands of their parents.
By giving them a voice, we are shining a spotlight on the truth that disabilities do not prevent people from living extraordinary lives — ones filled with meaning and purpose.
Disabilities should never disqualify someone from life.
While the world seeks to dehumanize preborn children, Rise Above will put a face and a name to these conditions which so many believe are grounds for ending innocent lives.
Filming for Rise Above has already begun, but in order to complete this important film, we are seeking to raise $500,000. And we need your help.
Will you make a generous gift today to help bring Rise Above to life? Your sacrificial investment will help us tell these powerful stories and proclaim the dignity of every human life.
And, when you give between now and the end of the month, your gift of $50 or more will qualify you for special Rise Above-related perks like production updates, behind-the-scenes content, an invitation to a virtual Q&A with the director, and more.
