For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”

2 Peter 1:21

As time moves forward, we look at each day as  one day closer to Christ’s return. This is the next event in God’s prophetic timeline.

As believers, we get excited as we await his triumphant return. And rightly so, because heaven is our home and we have God and other loved ones waiting there.

There are many views and beliefs on how this event will take place. Some even argue their point at length.

Regardless of your view on when and how this event occurs, we’re in agreement that Christ will return for his Church.

Jesus said; “And since I’m going away to prepare a place for you, I’ll come back again and welcome you into my presence, so that you may be where I am.”

John 14:3

Unfortunately, many are being deceived into thinking that they are right with God, but they are not right with God at all.

Repeating a prayer, or joining a church, or doing good works and being kind, will not save a person.  Although all these things are good to do, they won’t save us.

We must have a personal relationship with Christ where we are born again.

Jesus answered and said unto him, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

John 3:3

Part of that experience will be that we turn from our sin, repent and seek God. Our life will have noticeable changes. We will act differently than the world.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Romans 12:2

You cannot say you’re saved, born again, A follower of Christ, if you continue in your sinful ways. There has to be a clear change.

A change in what we do as far as partying hard, carousing, cussing or any number of things that are offensive to God… just because we can and with no remorse.

Again, we all sin and fall short, but there’s a line we cross when we continue in sinful ways without any cares.

We won’t change, because deep down we love doing these things.

Deliberately sinning with no care in the word. All under the premise of “once saved, always saved” or “God loves me so it doesn’t matter.”

It certainly does matter. Gods grace, love and mercy towards us, are not a license to sin.

When Christ called us to Repent, He was talking about a change of heart toward our sin.

We should have a new way of living that exalts Christ and gives evidence of the truth of the gospel!

Evidence of a living God.

Some folks get so caught up in the things of this life that they fail to see the importance of preparing for eternal life.

If God should tarry, we have no idea when he’ll call us home personally. Not one person is promised tomorrow. Be ready at all times.

For he says, “In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

2 Corinthians 6:2

The time is now… do not delay any longer.

Repent and trust Christ today.

It’ll be the BEST decision you ever made!

Many Blessings,

Connie
