The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.

1 Timothy 4:1

It’s a little terrifying to see how the world, including some “believers”, feel about Jesus.

Some are walking away from traditional Christianity. Where they formerly believed “Jesus Christ plus nothing,” now they are adding something else to that mix.

It’s just enough for them to try to change the sovereignty and authority of God, and in some cases ,it’s not enough of a change to really even notice, because it’s so subtle.

This leaves them confused and vulnerable to any false teachings.

The fact that they subtly take away the deity of Christ and what He stands for, is altogether wrong!

They’ll often use their education in order to eliminate anyone questioning their irrational decisions.

In other words, if you’re not what they deem educated, they will never listen to you. For they feel superior.

These folks believe him to be an all inclusive God that overlooks every sin, turning a blind eye towards our sin. I believe this is in order to pacify their sinful lifestyles. Whatever that  may be.

They add a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. A smorgasbord of Christianity, so-to-speak.

And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.

But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Matthew 24:12-14

Those with the same spirit Judas had, will turn away from Jesus. They’ll go from joy to misery. All the while, denying Gods power.

These backslidden folks, may make temporary efforts to follow Jesus, but they do not have the genuine faith it takes to continue growing and changing.

The Cross has power to set us free and to restore our worth as a person.  Therefore, I believe this is why the enemy tries to keep us defeated and why he trips us up.

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

1 Corinthians 1:18

The message of the cross is foolishness to some because in their foolish pride, they will not bend their knee at the foot of the cross. But one day soon, that will change!

Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name above all name that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:9-11

They can turn from Christ and try to make every excuse in the book as to why they did, but in the end, God’s going to win and they will answer to God for what they did.  Especially if they misled anyone or taught anyone garbage… especially a child!

Many Blessing’s,

Connie
