Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

Psalm 34:14

Have you ever cleaned out a closet or shed, only to find out that everything you took out, you’ve never even missed?

I did that recently. Years and years of junk that I forgot was even there. It took up so much space. It was worthless.

When I started to go through all these boxes and bags, it reminded me of my spiritual place. That too, has so much unnecessary junk. Junk that I can definitely do without.

My thoughts, insecurities and my past, were taking up too much of my time. Precious time from my heart and my mind.

First question was, Lord, what do I need to change? What can I get rid of to make more room for your love?

As I started going through my life and trying to figure out what needed to go, in order for peace to abound, I hit the mother load of junk.

My peace was always weighing in the back ground. I wanted peace, but too many things were cluttering my mind.

As I prayed and started on my journey of organizing my heart, I knew I must rid myself of this mess.

I’ll tell you that one of the issues of great importance was my time! I had too much going on and it wasn’t mine to carry or take care of. I just took it upon myself to worry about things that were none of my business. They were Gods business. That took up a ton of my time, needlessly.

Once I stopped worrying about these issues and gave absolutely everything over to God, He began a spring cleaning on my heart.

Another issue was that I habitually neglected the word of God.  Everything else took center stage over my quiet time with the Lord. Not just prayer time, I still did that, but I mean real quit time. Intimate time.

There was more to clean out, but these issues were huge and were detrimental to my walk with the Lord. Plus, it was stealing my joy.

May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.”

Jude 1:2

Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.

Hebrew 12:14

It’s important that we clean our hearts out and get rid of anything that stifles our walk with God! For apart from Him, we can do nothing.

If it’s keeping you from God, it has to go.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

 John 15:5

Remember, Satan wants your life to be cluttered with nonsense. He’s a loser!

When we want to do everything our own way, we sometimes get in God‘s way.

Seek peace and pursue it.

Many Blessing’s,

Connie.
