Jesus warned the disciples about the final days in Matthew.

“At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.”

Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold, but the one who endures to the end will be saved.

Matthew 24:12&13

Scripture tells us in 1 Peter 5:8 that Satan prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

But no worries, Jesus slays lions.

Jesus encouraged Peter: And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Matthew 16:18

False prophets intentionally raise themselves up as “teachers, pastors and spiritual guides” pretending to speak the truth, but, in fact, they preach false doctrine and lead people astray.

The Bible is full of warnings about false prophets and false teachers.

Do not be deceived: God will not be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

Galatians 6:7

It is extremely important that we know the word of God, that we study it and that we know God personally. The only way we can recognize a counterfeit, is by knowing the real thing.

Scripture tells us that we do not know the day or the hour of Christ return, but we will know the season.

These past months, as we see the weather get cold, snow on the ground and weather patterns change, we know winter is near, we recognize this season, we see the truth.

That’s how it is with what we see on the evening news, what we’re hearing around us and seeing around us. We don’t know when it’s going to happen, but we know the season is upon us. We know Christs return is near.

Beware of false prophets and false teachers. They dilute the gospel to have their own way and to live life however they see fit. That is demonic and wrong.

It’s basically a way of trying to do whatever they want and to live in sin and debauchery without having to answer to God for this evil lifestyle.

So, whether it’s the empowerment of women gone too far, New Age practices, prosperity gospel nonsense or any number of other religious practices, steer clear of anything that denies Christ as sovereign Lord over all.

These false teachers have ambition, but lack the proper understanding of the things they were taught.

Stay away from anyone or any teaching that denies him as the head of the church. And that denies Jesus is the only way to God.

I believe this practice will be amped up, all the more as we see the day of Christ draw near.

The good news is, regardless of the evil and wicked spirit in this world, Jesus will continue to save sinners.

My prayer for you today is that you would hear Gods voice and let him lead you in the right path. That you’d be alert and ready, especially as you recognize the seasons.

Many Blessings,

Connie
