Assistant Editor Leah MarieAnn Klett with The Christian Post published an article yesterday (Christmas Day) about Emmy Award-winning Christian musical artist and radio host John Tess (71), who was miraculously healed of a rare form of cancer and remains healed to this day.

Tesh believes that “renewing your mind” is one of the most important biblical mandates — yet, one of the most overlooked in modern society.  “I have found that many people don’t truly understand that there are dark forces, that the devil is after your mind.  Many people think that when a thought comes into their mind, it comes from them, and it’s not.  It’s [sometimes] put there by some other force,” according to Tesh.

Tess knows first hand the power of prayer, after being diagnosed with a rare form of prostate cancer in 2015 and given only 18 months to live.  “I was told to get my affairs in order,” says Tesh.  Today, he is free from cancer—a miracle he attributes to his Christian faith, the support of his wife and the wisdom of doctors.

My brother and sisters, praise God for John Tess’ healing and witness of the goodness of God!  In the scriptures, Jesus made it abundantly clear that it is God’s will for us to be healed, in the name of Jesus.  Our faith coupled with His faithfulness moves mountains and overcomes evil in our lives!

Although it is not for us to understand how and in what timing God chooses to heal us, the bible makes it clear that we are to pray for our healing and the healing of others (spiritually, emotionally and physically), as we trust fully in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

As John Tesh related, the bible tells us to renew our minds (see Romans 12:2) and that the evil one walks about seeking to steal, kill and destroy the faithful in Christ and their works (see 1 Peter 5:8 and John 10:10).  Praise God that the bible also says that it is indeed the will of God to heal us (see Matthew 12:10-16), that by His stripes we are healed of our afflictions (see Isaiah 53:5), and that the prayer of faith will heal us (see James 5:14-16).

And let’s not forget that when two (or more) agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by the Father (see Matthew 18:18-20)!

Here are the above-referenced scriptures:

Romans 12:2 (Amplified Bible)
“And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].”

1 Peter 5:8 (NKJV)
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”

John 10:10 (NKJV)
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.  I [Jesus] have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Matthew 12:10-16 (NKJV)
Jesus Heals Them All
“And behold, there was a man who had a withered hand.  And they asked Him, saying, ‘Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?’—that they might accuse Him.  Then He said to them, ‘[w]hat man is there among you who has one sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not lay hold of it and lift it out?  Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep?  Therefore[,] it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.’  Then He said to the man, ‘Stretch out your hand.’  And he stretched it out, and it was restored as whole as the other.  Then the Pharisees went out and plotted against Him, how they might destroy Him.  But when Jesus knew it, He withdrew from there.  And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all [emphasis mine].”

Isaiah 53:5 (NKJV)
“But He (Jesus) was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; [t]he chastisement for our peace was upon Him, [a]nd by His stripes we are healed.”

James 5:14-16 (NKJV)
“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.  And the prayer of faith will save the sick [emphasis mine], and the Lord will raise him up.  And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.  Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.  The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”

Matthew 18:18-20 (NKJV)
“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.  Again[,] I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.  For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

Praise Jesus forevermore!
