For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11

As we start on a fresh new year, how can we move on when things have been so tough this past year?

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying,  “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

John 8:12

We will all have different paths to follow this next year.  Some hard and some will be welcomed paths.  Remember to not let fear, doubt, lack of confidence or physical and mental exhaustion hold you back from running the race with perseverance.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

Hebrews 12:1

Trust and wait on the Lord. Don’t assume that the way you feel today is the way it will always be. In time, God will definitely change things.

It may feel as though he’s forgotten you, but rest assured, He’s standing by you!

He has appointed seasons of waiting, which can get worrisome at times. (I’ve been there a lot)

I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

Psalm 40:1-2

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Matthew 6:34

Sometimes, when things are extremely rough, trusting Him completely like that can be hard.

So, each day we must lay aside our own plans and expectations, hold every thought captive, and surrender to His plans.

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

2 Corinthians 10:5

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.

Proverbs 16:3

God bless you as you walk into 2024!
