Jesus, Is He Calling You?

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. I woke up with the words of a song, the harvest is ripe, but the workers are few. Who will go, who will go, as I try to remember the words to a song I loved hearing while at a concert Pray at the Brooklyn Tabernacle in New York several years ago. I remember standing up and raising my hand.

I still raise my hand today, sometimes a bit scared, stepping into the unknown. I can’t let fear of anything stop what my heart wants to tell them. People matter, lives matter, Jesus said to tell them and I raise my hand to go. Will you? Maybe today he will ask you to go. Could be next door, could be across the world. Hand raised?

Let’s Pray:

Father, Matthew 9 you tell us about the workers in the Kingdom being few. In verse 35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.

Father, the Lord of the harvest, thank you for calling and sending out workers. Father, draw them unto yourself we pray and give them assignments, Jesus style.

Father, empower your people to be brave and courageous and not be afraid. We rebuke the spirit of fear off of your people. Awaken the heart that we all will fulfill our God given destinies. Some beautiful people will be cooks, some will be gatekeepers and some will be missionaries. Some will be doctors, some nurses and you have positions for us all. Order our footsteps to our God given destines we pray. May we tell the whole world about Jesus. Amen.

Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. Hand raised?
