Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.”

1 Chronicles 16:34

Thanksgiving Day is set aside for celebrating the harvest and other blessings of the past year, and for giving God thanks for a bountiful year.

No matter who you are or what you’ve been through, there is always something to be thankful for.

Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits.

Psalm  103:2

There is nothing that encourages praise like gratitude towards Christ!

One of the best qualities we can develop is that of Thankfulness. There are few characteristics that will influence our lives more than this.

Thankfulness can affect every area of our lives in a wonderful way, so begin to thank God for all the blessings he has given you instead of dwelling on the negative things in your life.

Then, watch Him do his thing… the ultimate blessings are to come.

As you review this past year, think of some blessing God has bestowed upon you.

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

“I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus.”

1 Corinthians 1:4

As with my family, this past year was tragic for us. It seems like this tragedy stripped us of a grateful spirit. God’s been close to us and guiding us throughout this dark time though.

Even in the midst of pain or hardship, we can always find a reason to thank Him. We can definitely thank Him for our salvation, for His awesome presence, and His daily work in our hearts.

As Believers, we never walk alone as the Holy Spirit dwells within us.

🍁Happy Thanksgiving,

 Connie
