Fox News reports that Governor Chris Sununu (R-NH) is taking matters into his own hands to help secure New Hampshire’s northern border with Canada, citing a lack of support from the Biden administration.

Governor Sununu announced yesterday that he plans to use $1.4 million in funding from New Hampshire’s current budget to boost tenfold patrols by state and local law enforcement along the 58-mile border, stating that “there have been more apprehensions along our northern border in just this past year than in the last ten years combined.  We asked the federal government for help.  We were denied.”

The Fox News report may be read HERE.

My brothers and sisters, this is the standard position of the Biden administration, do nothing that benefits control over the United States (“US”) borders – north or south – unless it becomes otherwise impossible to avoid.  The safety, security and economic well-being of US citizens appears to be of lesser concern or priority to President Joe Biden than facilitating the continuing entry of a record number of undocumented aliens seeking asylum, most especially along the US southern border.

As regularly reported by reputable news organizations for a year or more, the US border crisis has become a nationwide issue that is no longer limited to certain corridors along the southern border.  Border apprehensions and “got aways” are at record levels.

Border crossings are at record levels along both the northern and southern borders, with busload after busload of migrants being transported and delivered to most, if not all, of the inland states, creating emergency situations in cities such as New York, Chicago, Boston and elsewhere.

US Customs and Border Protection (“CBP”) reports HERE that during FY 2023, total CBP enforcement actions have increased from 526,901 in FY 2017 to 2,860,127 in FY 2023.

With all that is happening relative to the resurgence of terrorism in the world right now (e.g., wars in Ukraine and Israel, with rocket attacks against US forces increasing in the Middle East and known terrorism-affiliated persons being captured at the US borders), we need to pray for our federal and state officials.  We most especially need to pray for President Biden, to forgo pride, acknowledge the problems created by our current approaches to border security, and to make the necessary changes.

Regardless of the problem or situation, we should first seek what is found in the word of God, as the Answer was, is, and will always be, Jesus!  Amen.

Hebrews 13:8 (NKJV)
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

James 1:5 (NKJV)
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

1 Peter 3:10 (NLT)
“For the Scriptures say, ‘[i]f you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies.’”

Praise Jesus forevermore!
