The Jerusalem Post is reporting that world-renowned, Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg (20) is facing strong criticism from Israeli climate activists following her October 20, 2023 post on “X” (formerly Twitter), stating:
“Today we strike in solidarity with Palestine and Gaza. The world needs to speak up and call for an immediate ceasefire, justice and freedom for Palestinians and all civilians affected.”
Israel’s Ministry of Education, the branch of government overseeing public education institutions, is reportedly removing any reference to climate activist Greta Thunberg from its curriculum following her support of the Hamas terrorist organization.

My brothers and sisters, if this writer has learned one thing over the decades, it’s that words have meaning and carry consequences. Ms. Thunberg is no longer a minor. Considering her worldwide “bully pulpit” and influence stemming from her fame as an environmental activist, she has no one to blame but herself; however, she is just one example of what is happening on a broad scale within the United States (“US”) and around the globe.
Look no further than the recent, failed Hamas missile attack that struck outside a hospital in Gaza. Hamas’ assertion that Israel attacked the hospital was immediately embraced by multitudes – including major news organizations and US congresspersons – before (and even after) Israel and US intelligence and/or military officials provided evidence completely to the contrary!
On what basis would ANYONE blindly and immediately believe statements from Hamas in the face of actual evidence and a proven history of integrity by the Israel Defense Forces? The truth is of no importance anymore to so many persons. All that matters is the end game. Reminds me of politics! Emotion and personal “truths” based on limited information (read: ignorance) do not necessarily equate to the truth!
As Christians, it seems best to weigh our words, not rush to judgment, and to remember that what we often hear and see with our natural ears and eyes is not the truth! According to the bible, specifically John 14:6, the Truth is a Person and His name is Jesus! [NOTE: I’ve written about this recently for FGGAM in more depth. The wisdom of the world is flawed at best and often evil. The wisdom of God is always true, and worthy to be sought and followed!

“For by the grace [of God] given to me I say to every one of you not to think more highly of himself [and of his importance and ability] than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has apportioned to each a degree of faith [and a purpose designed for service].”

“Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, ‘He catches the wise in their own craftiness…’”.
