Being a Christian is like being a pumpkin. God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. He opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff— including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc.. Then he carves you a new smiling face and puts his light inside you to shine for all the world to see. This was passed on to me from another pumpkin…

I was born in Grants, NM and felt the calling at the age of 31. After many years of discipleship under many powerful men of God, I pioneered my first church in Los Alamos, NM in 2009. I currently pastor Open Door Bible Church in Los Alamos along with starting an outreach ministry called HOPE, which during hard times serves needy families in Los Alamos and Rio Arriba counties. I encountered salvation at the age of 23 while attending an outdoor tent revival. My experience, which I like to compare to the Saul to Paul experience of the bible. I was a self-righteous and rebellious mocker of the bible. That night God blinded me and dragged me to the altar in the most emotional experience ever. I was saved right then and there and God never even gave me the chance to think about it. I wept at the altar for a good hour. I would not trade my new life in Jesus for my old life ever. If you are a non-believer or follower of Jesus, I want to encourage you to become a believer now so you can experience the free gift of salvation today. Best decision I ever made!
