Pastor Dewey: I am very sad that we allow people in Congress that are not capable of serving. It is obvious that even the President is not qualified to serve. The man forgets where he is at, he at times can not complete a sentence. Remember when he called out to a lawmaker at a press conference that had been killed in a traffic accident? Sometimes President Biden walks away from where he is being led to. I am sure you have seen the many video’s, he appears to be very confused, it makes me so very sad! I call what the Biden family is doing to the President, ELDER ABUSE! They have made a fool of the man. TRAGIC! They should be ashamed. 81-year-old Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell mysteriously paused for 30 seconds during his weekly news conference. The following day, 90-year-old California Senator Dianne Feinstein appeared confused during a committee meeting. Feinstein is really suffering, and we have these people in office? Very stupid. This not not even humane! This is what America is doing to the elderly! It should not be about money and politics, it should be about human dignity!

Follow the money on all this! Money is the reason they hang on to their power!

From CBN:

Two recent unsettling health incidents among older lawmakers on Capitol Hill were reminders that there are no limits on how long politicians can serve. While a majority of Americans believe there should be age restrictions for elected officials, voters keep returning them to office, as younger politicians float the idea of cognitive tests. Here’s what you need to know.

From FGGAM’S Chuck Akeley

Let’s seek the Lord in all things and walk humbly before our God. Let’s respect all, and for sure our elders, as we walk peaceably and in love – even when such love requires the delivery of unwanted news or guidance.

What is your view of the Trump indictment?

  1. Pastor Dewey, I couldn’t agree more and have supported term limits as long as I can remember for most, if not all, politicians – and not necessarily because of age issues. Life-long political appointments are in-and-of-themselves a temptation to either become stale, tone-deaf or dictatorial because of the degree of power associated with high-level, elected positions. It’s distressing to see on social media so many (presumably younger) folks asserting the need for arbitrarily-established age limits when they don’t yet truly understand that with age comes wisdom (generally and hopefully), that “new” or “different” isn’t necessarily better, that some things are only (or best) learned with time, and that just as in higher education, workplaces, sports, music, politics, etc., merit should determine (or at least have a lot to do with) determining a person’s selection or continuance in a position. It should be common sense, common courtesy and a demonstration of humility and self-awareness to step down and give room for someone else when our competency (mentally or physically) negatively impacts our ability to perform successfully or safely. Biblical leadership is to support, train and encourage others to move forward in life, with our ceilings becoming their floors (so to speak) – to the betterment of all; however, arbitrary age determinations are simply that; arbitrary. We should be more concerned with being clearly led by the Holy Spirit about our life decisions and especially when it is wise to approach others about moving aside or retiring when they can’t recognize this, for the best of all parties involved. The wisdom of the world (which I would generally equate with enforcement of arbitrary age restrictions) is not the wisdom of God. We should seek His wisdom in all things and live accordingly. We need strong, powerful, experienced, confident, competent and respected leaders, and the wisdom to know when it’s time to move on – not hard-and-fast, arbitrary age restrictions. It should be a matter of common sense that a 70-year old may not be the best surfing instructor, a 90-year-old might not be the best fighter jet pilot, etc. That said, I bet a 90-year-old Billy Graham could impart incredible wisdom and win souls from his death bed better than most. Praise Jesus forevermore!
