Jesus’ Email

Ron went with a co-worker to help a woman get her gas turned on. He was waiting outside when a man came up to him and told him he had Jesus’ email address. He wrote it down then passed it to Ron. He said that Jesus asked him questions all the time and tried to convert Ron to a popular minister’s theology. While the man had it turned around, his heart knew the truth. Jesus is always our answer. He is always our answer beloved ones. We don’t need to run around looking for a word, or any of the other things we do rather than sitting at His feet and asking Him.

John 1:14 tells us the Word (Jesus) became human and lived here on earth among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen His glory, the glory of the only Son of the Father.

We call the scriptures the word of God, and you can learn so much about Jesus; what He was like, etc, but to really know Him, you need to sit with Him. What did Jesus say about knowing Him?

He said, “You search the Scriptures because you believe they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to Me! Yet you refuse to come to Me so that I can give you this eternal life.” John 5:39-40

Jesus explained to Nicodemus about how we may have eternal life. He said, “And as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so I, the Son of Man, must be lifted up on a pole, so that everyone who believes in Me will have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:14-16

Jesus, as He was praying to His Father, said, “For you have given Him authority over everyone in all the earth. He gives eternal life to each one You have given Him. And this is the way to have eternal life—to know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one You sent to earth.” John 17:2-3

How do you get to know someone? You hang out with them and converse with them. You learn their likes and dislikes, how they see things, and what’s in their heart. You share yourself with them.

Jesus said, “My sheep recognize My voice; I know them, and they follow Me.” John 10:27

Beloved ones, if you’re not sure you’re hearing His voice or speaking truths, ask Him.

Jesus said that He had to go away but wouldn’t leave us helpless. He said He would ask the Father to send us the Helper, the Holy Spirit, to live in us and guide us, teach us truth, give us the words to say and help us to know Him. John 14:16 and 26; Romans 8:14 and 26; 1 Corinthians 2:13, 3:16; Luke 12:12; Matthew 21:22 to name a few scriptures. Please explore the scriptures that encourage you to ask, hear and know.

One of my favorites is James 1:5-6 If you need wisdom—if you want to know what God wants you to do—ask Him, and He will gladly tell you. He will not resent your asking. But when you ask Him, be sure that you really expect Him to answer.

Please don’t hear what I’m not saying. He can speak to us through scriptures, and He can send someone with a word just for you, and He does these things, but take time to really get to know Him by sitting with Him and practice hearing His voice. You can hear His voice because He said you can.

So many people love The Chosen series. It’s so wonderful to see people hanging out with Jesus. Well, guess what, you get that honor as well! Hang out with Him and ask Him to hear His voice clearly. You’ll never regret it!

Jesus, help us to know You more. Help us to hear Your voice very clearly without any doubts that it’s You speaking to us. Draw us near and guide us into all Truth. You are Truth and we love You and honor You precious Savior. Thank You for Your love and for loving us so much that You wanted to be with us always. We praise You our Beloved King. Hallelujah and Amen.
