Fresh Winds Of Change…

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. I was praying for my daughter and family that live in Florida. Petitioning God to protect them from the high winds and rain. Let the storm pass right on by them, as I thanked him in advance. I am thankful to know the master of the wind and maker of the rain. His love for people is amazing.

I wanted to share this morning once again from an experience I was part of that brought change to the way I looked at ministry and did ministry. It certainly was winds of change in my life.

I was part of a team years ago that took evangelism to a new level. At least it was a new level for me. I was a bit challenged at first, but I saw the results firsthand. Our team would go outside night clubs, on the streets at night and we would meet people. We would pray with them and ask God to drop something in one of our team’s hearts for that person. Sometimes the people were intoxicated, on drugs, sometimes they were not. It didn’t change a thing. Their life issues didn’t bother God, so we didn’t let them bother us either. We looked straight to their beating heart. God always came through. He had something to say to every person we ministered to. It was there on the streets, in that city (second largest city in the U.S.) that I discovered how much God loved people. People didn’t need to live up to my expectations, how I thought they should live, be or how things appeared. God was looking at their heart. He met them right where they were at, gave them encouraging words and direction for their lives from total strangers. That was a big change on how to evangelize for me. That experience has never left me, and I never want to be part of anything that doesn’t show his love and mercy to a hurting world. How about you? Ready for some winds of change to blow in and change how you do things?

Let’s Pray:

Father, thank you for breathing life into our dry thirsty land. Father, thank you that you died for people. Thank you for mercy, grace and change. Father, the truth is that none of us are worthy to receive what you have freely given for mankind. May we never look down on others. Empower us to help others, we pray.

Father, blow fresh on us today. Blow fresh on our churches, towns, cities, nation until you are able to move in by the power of your Holy Spirit.

Father, why not here. Start right here in Aroostook County, Maine and blow right on through to the nations of the world, we pray. Amen. Blow mighty wind, blow.

Have a blessed day God’s beautiful people. Thank him for winds of change today.

My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality.  For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes, and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, “You sit here in a good place,” and say to the poor man, “You stand there,” or, “Sit here at my footstool,” have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts? James 2:1-4
