Here in Albuquerque we have been getting a little rain, but it is still very dry. Many trees, shrubs and other vegetation have died or are dying because of the long hot summer and not much rain at all. Tree death in Albuquerque should be a major concern of all. WE NEED TREES! SIMPLE SCIENCE!!! Trees contribute to their environment by providing oxygen, improving air quality, climate amelioration, conserving water, preserving soil, and supporting wildlife. During the process of photosynthesis, trees take in carbon dioxide and produce the oxygen we breathe. Albuquerque seems to ‘rock’ itself to death. U.S. Drought Monitor
