Be The One Out Of 10…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. I sometimes get the thanks for things that I have had the least amount of work in. When you have a board, or work on a team sometimes others do the work, and you end up being the person getting the thanks. I try to go back and give thanks to the people who actually impacted the person or situation. It’s important to say a simple thank you. It goes a long way in a busy world where people are pressured on every side.
I was thinking recently about when Jesus healed the ten lepers. Only one came back to say thank you. Actually, let’s read Luke 17:11-17 together:
Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!” When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed. One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan. Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?” Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”
Let’s be a thankful people and let’s tell Jesus today how thankful we are for all he has done for us. Let’s tell others how thankful we are to have them in our lives. Let’s be the one to give the credit where the credit is due. Let’s start our day with thanksgiving. I feel a happy day coming on already.
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you for another day to journey life with you. Father, today we want to be the one out of ten just to come back and say thank you. Thank you for everything you have done for us. Thank you for every healing, every deliverance, every provision, every time you revealed truth to us. Father, thank you that the blood of Christ was payment enough for our sins.
Father, today may we say thank you to others that have impacted our lives or the people on the front lines that go beyond to make the world a better place. Father, may we be the one out of ten in our workplaces, in our families, in our communities, in our nation.
Father, help us see the good in people, see the positive in negative situations and may the light of Christ shine brightly today through us. Amen.
Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. Let your light shine with thanksgiving.
