Thank God For Liberty…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. This past weekend I visited a place in Grand Isle, Maine, Misty Meadows Restaurant and Gift Shop. After enjoying a delicious lunch, I went to get into the car. This shiny five cents was looking up at me and of course I stopped to pick it up. Liberty 2020 was written on the coin and In God We Trust. As I began to look at the coin, I began to think about freedom. Thomas Jefferson, our third president and one of the authors of the Declaration of Independence was also on the coin that grasped for my attention that day. 5 is the number of grace.
Liberty, freedom, in God we trust we are thankful for. I think of scriptures this morning such as Psalm 20:7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. John 8:36 Whom the Son sets free is free indeed another great scripture.
As the world changes, we continue to look to our creator, the founder in whom we can trust. We continue to declare it and decree God’s Word as he and his Word never changes.
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you for liberty. Thank you that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Thank you that you set us free, and we are free indeed. (John 8:36)
Father, any reader that believes in you and your Word can experience the same freedom. For your Word says where the spirit of the Lord is- there is liberty.
Father, we are thankful to live in America and we don’t take it lightly the cost that was paid. Neither do we take for granted the life you so willingly laid down so that we can be free.
Father, teach us oh God, how to stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1) Amen.
