If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

James 1:5

James made it clear that if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously.

The dictionary defines wisdom as “the ability to discern or judge what is true, right, or lasting.”

How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver!

Proverbs 16:16

With wisdom comes understanding.

Understanding of Gods Word, His laws and most importantly, his love. There is a vastness of Gods love and knowledge for his people. And unless we have wisdom and insight, we’ll never know the full potential of what God has made available to us.

Look for wisdom like silver. Search for it like hidden treasure.

If you do this, you will understand what it means to respect the Lord, and you will come to know God.

The Lord is the source of wisdom; knowledge and understanding come from his mouth.

Proverbs 2:4-6

Searching for wisdom like you’d search for a hidden treasure, leaving no stone unturned in this pursuit, this is what we should do as we search for wisdom from God.

Searching scripture, seeking Gods face, fasting and praying. These are the things we should be doing and all the more as we see the day approaching.

Things will eventually get tougher, so we must be prepared. There are no more excuses. We make time for everything else under the sun. We must make time to search for God’s wisdom in making life decisions.

Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.

Proverbs 3:7

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Proverbs 9:10

Keep sound wisdom and discretion, so they will be life to your soul, and adornment to your neck. Then you will walk in your way securely and your foot will not stumble.

Proverbs 3:21-23

Wisdom is from God alone. “Wisdom belongs to God”.

Job 12:13.

Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.

Psalm 105:3-4

We sometimes tend to make decisions based solely on emotions, when we should be seeking out wisdom instead.

It’s time to take our lives back, make it something of worth and one that will glorify and please God.

Many Blessings,

Connie
