The poorest Americans, defined as those living in households earning less than $50,000 annually, are more likely to express a “great deal” of confidence in religious institutions, per Gallup. The survey, which was conducted in June, measured the faith of Americans in 16 major societal institutions, including the military, the police, the medical system, banks, and Congress, among others.
