August 2023. The eighth month, a month of new beginnings and a month of celebration as the anniversary month for FGGAM. Eleven years ago, in August, “For God’s Glory Alone Ministries” (FGGAM) was birthed out of a vision and direction given to founders Dewey and Sharon Moede.
When the Lord calls you, you set aside your “plow” (in Dewey’s case, his years of radio broadcasting) and pick up a new mantel. What does that look like? That’s exactly what Dewey asked me as we offloaded the last of his office belongings from the radio station into his garage. The answer: Proclaim the glory of God throughout the state, the nation, and, eventually, the world. But how he asked?! Listen to the Lord as He opens the doors and makes the way. So, as the years have passed by, FGGAM has grown and continues to be transformed. Much like a caterpillar wrapped in God’s cocoon, this ministry continues to develop, and one day, “in the fullness of time”, it will emerge in the beautiful array of God’s intended purpose!
During this eleven-year journey, Dewey has grown into a pastor for the family of God; being called upon to preach and teach and perform weddings and funerals and counsel wherever and whenever the need arises. In addition, the FGGAM website has attracted a vast number of contributing writers who share messages of encouragement, commentary on current events, and scripture-based editorials on every subject under the sun (Son). What started as a small, local audience eleven years ago has grown into a worldwide following, viewed by millions around the world on a regular basis. All For God’s Glory Alone!
The Bible says, “Do not despise small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin!” (Zechariah 4:10) And then also, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for in proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9) For eleven years FGGAM has pressed through all the daily trials of committing to God’s call to go and preach. The harvest of souls, touched by God’s love, has been our reward!
In closing, please remember our dear friend and one of our original board members at FGGAM, Apostle Barbara Gould, who recently passed on into God’s Glory. She will be greatly missed as we continue on. Also, our sincere thanks to all of you who have stood by and supported FGGAM throughout these eleven years. Your commitment to this ministry is greatly appreciated!
