The Christian Post reports that more 300 bodies have been found in a Kenyan forest after cult leader Paul Mackenzie of Good News International Church encouraged his followers to starve themselves in order to meet Jesus. Exhumations are continuing.
The death toll has risen to 303 after 19 additional bodies were retrieved from mass graves in a forested area of Kilifi County. Sadly, Regional Commissioner Rhoda Onyancha told the media that about 613 individuals with ties to the region were currently missing.

My brothers and sisters, we live in a time the bible warns us about. Many are unwilling to hear and believe the truth of the gospel, and lack the discernment of the Holy Spirit to know the truth from a lie. Lord give us eyes to see and ears to hear the word of the Lord!

Father, we pray for the surviving family members of those who have been deceived by the evil one through so-called Pastor Paul Mackenzie. We lift up the responding law enforcement and medical personnel, as these scenes of death must be horrifying to process. We trust in You, Father, to turn even this tragedy for man’s greater good and that You would be glorified. We ask that the hearts and souls of those affected in Kenya would come to know the truth of the scriptures and to recognize the lies of the enemy – trusting in the true word of God and not the deceit, manipulation and promises of man. Father, may this deception of the evil one result in thousands of non-believers accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior! We thank You for Your wisdom, goodness and compassion, and we ask these things in the name of Jesus. Amen!
