As previously reported by FGGAM HERE on March 14, 2023, PMC Wagner Group (“Wagner”), a Russian mercenary group led by Yevgeny Prigozhin, has been fighting on behalf of Russia in Ukraine – receiving military equipment and training support from the Russian Ministry of Defense. Wagner led recent and ongoing battles in Bakhmut, Ukraine, but had reportedly fallen out of favor with the Kremlin due to heavy losses and poor execution of battle.
Clearly, the situation has worsened with the Associated Press (“AP News”) reporting today that Russian President Vladimir Putin has vowed to punish the organizers of an armed rebellion in Russia after Yevgeny Prigozhin led Wagner forces out of Ukraine and into the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don. Wagner now appears to control Russia’s military headquarters for Ukraine operations.
President Putin denounced the uprising as “a stab in the back” and said that “[a]ll those who prepared the rebellion will suffer inevitable punishment.”

My brothers and sisters, I woke this morning with a word in my spirit that Russia may be in the midst of civil war. It appears that this is happening or at a great risk of becoming reality.
This entire situation with Russia’s war against Ukraine and all of the resulting ramifications, including extreme loss of life and war crimes, is evil from top to bottom. It should be no surprise that those who love such evil endeavors are turning on each other – much like the old adage that “there is no honor between thieves.” Evil will eventually consume itself.
Despite American politics and issues involving of the cost of supporting the free country of Ukraine against Russian threats of destruction, war crimes or the potential use of nuclear weapons, it seems notable that President Putin is reaping some of what he has sowed, as it appears that Russian forces may have attacked its own Wagner troops in the last few days.
Let’s continue to pray for peace and for the timely end of this evil war. The risk of continued war is the destabilization of the entire European Continent – or worse.
