CNN is reporting that on Wednesday, an Amtrak train carrying nearly 200 passengers struck a county water truck in Moorpark, California, critically injuring the truck’s driver.  Most of the passengers exited safely and on their own, with only minor injuries reported.

According to Ventura County Fire Department Captain Brian McGrath, three of the train’s seven cars went off the tracks following the collision.  The derailed train cars remained upright on the tracks.  There is no word yet on why a county water truck was stopped upon the tracks.

Praise God that there weren’t severe injuries to the passengers and crew with the train.  Let’s pray for full recovery of the county truck driver.
