A Freedom Like No Other…

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Happy Juneteenth Day! Although I am getting ready to go to work this morning, I celebrate freedom. In 1863, during the American Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, which declared more than three million slaves living in the Confederate states to be free. It was not until Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, in 1865, that the state’s residents learned that slavery had been abolished. The former slaves immediately began to celebrate with prayer, feasting, song, and dance. Hallelujah!

The greatest freedom the world will ever receive, is the John 8:36 kind of freedom. We can celebrate every day with the freedom that Jesus Christ gives us. Whom the Son sets free, is free indeed. When you know your identity, who you are in him, what you mean to him and believe him for what he says in his Word, it changes the way you do life. You can celebrate every day as you live free in him. Amen? Amen.

Let’s Pray:

Father, thank you for another day to celebrate life, celebrate freedom and may many find their freedom in you today, the John 8:36 kind of freedom.

Father, as people across this nation celebrate Juneteenth Day today, may they also remember the founder of both heaven and earth. Amen.

Have a blessed Juneteenth Day beautiful people. Live life free…

The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;
for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters. Psalm 24:1-2
