Taste and See

Our bodies are made up of over 60% water in total. Now there are organs that are made of a higher percentage but the body as a whole is 60% water.

Without water, our bodies literally start to dry out.

We can only survive three days without taking and drinking to replenish the dehydration.

Dehydration brings headaches, delirium, and confusion. Our bodies become tired. We get fatigued then weakness settles in.

Most people today have come to their end.

Their physical bodies are constantly trying to recover from their daily tasks. Many will flock to so many different places to have a rest just for a moment.

Our flesh yearns desperately for self help.

It wants the satisfaction and the pleasure this world has to offer. It wants to feel like it’s content. It will chase relentlessly to have its fill. It thirsts and searches for the fountain of repair to replenish what’s missing so it can rest and be restored.

There are only two wells of water. One brings the sweet taste of life everlasting, the other is a bitter one that never satisfies the soul.

The sad truth is many will turn to the wrong well of water.

“For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, And hewn themselves cisterns—broken cisterns that can hold no water.

Jeremiah 2:13 NKJV

The Lord calls us His people. Oh but the evil we can do, even without knowing or thinking about it.

We forsake God. We abandon the one Person that brings us to the Fountain of Everlasting water.

I have many times been disloyal to my Savior, the living Water.

When my bones are dried up Spiritual dehydration settles into my body and soul. The confusion and fatigue take over.

I look at the well and ask for a drink. He looks at me and always provides it for me.

Jesus is the Fountain of Living Water.

All who sip from His cup can and will be restored!

Those that come and thirst will thirst no more.

There is healing in this water.

There is cleansing in this water.

There is refreshment of both body and soul.

There is restoration.

This is Salvation!

The saving of a dying, dehydrated, confused, fatigued soul!

Jesus is the Fountain of Living Waters. He is the never-ending supply of the good, pure, sweet essential supply of life.

We drink, and drink from His Holy well only until our symptoms of dehydration have gone.

We fill on it only until our bones are hydrated enough to go to the next fountain of water.

Even when our souls still thirst!

Then many will walk away and abandon this Fountain and search for that well that doesn’t satisfy the soul!

We try to work for the same type of Refreshing Water. Looking to be restored in every place other than the Well that Jesus provides.

We don’t see ourselves as broken cisterns.

We hewn ourselves cisterns.

We work hard to save ourselves from drying up.

The bitterness of the other well only dries up our spirit and soul. It brings no life, no refreshment, no rest, and no peace!

We end up with broken cisterns that can hold no water.

What little water a broken cistern holds is stagnant and stale! When water sits it dies. It is no longer living. And if it’s not giving life its bringing a slow spiritual death.

We have all bowed down at the cesspool of nasty bitter water. All of our lips have been tempted to taste. We drink and we become used to the taste. We stay at this pool of dirty water because we start to think there is nothing else. We forget the sweetness of Jesus.

There isn’t anything better, sweeter than when we decide to walk to the Fountain of life giving, life saving water.

We must decide which we will walk up to drink. The bitter or sweet.

We must take a daily drink!

Jesus is the well we must drink from to be refreshed. The only and true well of Living Water. He is never bitter , come and taste!

His offer is to all that will come to His Fount of Holy, flowing live saving and life giving water.

He is the only source of eternal life! We must meet Him at the well everyday of our lives.

When the signs of Spiritual dehydration start to show, meet Him and drink from the fountain that never runs dry or is bitter to taste.

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Oh, fear the Lord , you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him.

Psalms 34:8‭-‬9 NKJV

Have the waters of this world and in your life become stale? Do you thirst?

Let Him heal us, He promised to be our healer from the bitterness in our hearts so that we can find rest, freedom and His blessing. Cry out to the Lord and let Him know you want a drink of the sweet waters He provides.

Jesus is the Fountain of Living Water. All who sip from His cup can and will be restored!

Oh taste and see!
