Pastor Dewey Note: Over the last 3 years I have officiated more funerals than the last 13, from natural causes, to suicides, to drug overdoses, and shootings. I carry sorrow wherever I go. It is so very heavy on my heart. I will encourage you by sharing what Mark Twain once said. “Live your life so that at your funeral even the undertaker will cry.” I am driven to fulfill the Great Commission, I want everybody to know JESUS! We grieve hard because we love hard! If I can help you in anyway please contact me at pastordewey@fggam.org. I used to teach grieving classes. When my Mom and Dad passed away, just a few years apart, it hit me hard. I started to go to grief counseling and then taught about the process, which is very hard for the first 5 years. It is a roller coaster of emotions.

From Tamara Chamberlain in CHURCHLEADERS:

Grief over a loss happens far more often than when a literal death occurs.

I can attest to the anguish and pain that comes in the wake of the death of a loved one. But there are many other times in my life where mourning and sorrow have welled up within me. There can be seasons or situations that cause deep sorrow—grief in various forms. More Here

From Pastor Dewey:

TEAM JESUS! Please pray for the Fryar family for the healing of Pastor Fryar and son Bo. We also pray for wife and mother Rachel Fryar, as she mourns the death of her two daughters and helps her husband and son recover.

The Christian Post: The family and church of an Arkansas pastor are grieving the loss of his two daughters after the family’s vehicle was hit by an oncoming train. The pastor and his son survived the accident but are in critical condition in hospital.

Pastor Chad Fryar of Crossroads Cowboy Church in Bismarck, Arkansas, and his son, Bo Henry, are being treated for their injuries, THV11 reported, adding that the pastor’s daughters, Marlee Jo and Dana Kate Fryar, did not survive the accident. More Here

Christian Books: As the years pass and we watch more and more of our family, friends and mentors pass away, it is only natural to ask questions about heaven. However, our understanding of heaven is often limited to a few half-forgotten Sunday school lessons and the insubstantial images provided by popular movies and T.V. Fortunately, in Heaven Randy Alcorn provides us with a thoroughly researched and biblically definitive description of heaven. As Alcorn addresses our most serious questions about heaven, including the nature of judgment, and answers a few of our less serious questions as well, including the accessibility of cafe mochas in the sweet by and by. Readers will develop a deeper understanding of our eternal destination and find the courage to strive for heaven while living on earth. Heaven By Randy Alcorn
