Today will be the last walk of our Christ!

Let’s walk close to Him today.

So much has happened this week.

Welcomed as a King. Cleansing of the Temple. Healing, preaching, teaching. One Last Supper, washing of His Disciples feet. Betrayed by one of His closest friends. Arrested, stood before Pilate. Pilate finds no fault in Him. But the people weren’t satisfied, they wanted blood! So much, so fast, who could endure?

What’s so good about Good Friday.

You’ll hear today about the Cross that Jesus had to carry. How He was pierced hands and feet. And how He hung there struggling for breath next to two other criminals. One willing to accept Jesus offer and one that will reject.

So what’s so good about Good Friday?

It is One final sacrifice so that we could be made Holy to be able One day stand face to face with the Creator and the last judgment to be seen as Holy as His slain Son Jesus Christ.

The Cross Jesus hung from was the punishment He took for us. It’s what we deserved. He took our place.

The Cross of Christ has another purpose.

The Cross brought out the Spring of life cleansing, life giving ,everlasting Sacrificial Holy Blood.

When the thorns were buried into His skull, blood dripped into His face down unto His beard. When He was beaten the Blood poured from His back. When they pierced His hands and feet, Blood came out. Then He hung on the Cross and said it was finished, it was all finished! Then His side was pierced and every last drop poured out.

This Blood brings victory over sin and death.

Our High Priest Presented Himself as the unblemished Lamb of God that was born to die so we could live. And He made it so that we can come to Him anytime, anywhere! So we don’t have to wait for one specific day to be forgiven and cleansed. Jesus our High priest offers Himself to all at any time.

But you have to accept and have the Blood.

Do you have the Blood?

Yes, the Cross is important! The Cross is where we lay it down. The Cross is where we find pardon and peace. The Cross gives us rest. The Cross will meet you right where you are at. The Cross will give you hope. It will give you strength. And it will hold you up when the waves of life crash against you.

Why is the Cross important? Why is Good Friday so Good? Because it was the vehicle that God chose so that the Blood of His First born, perfect, unblemished Son could be pierced so His Blood could be shed so all that chose it could be brought back to Him clean and covered!

And that is why Good Friday is so Good!

Take this final journey today and see your suffering Servant, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Hide yourself in His wounds today. Stop to bow down at the Cross and see His pierced hands, feet and side! Look at His agony and pain. See that it was all so that He could cover YOU. To cleanse YOU. To heal YOU.  To bring YOU back to Him!

Do you have the Blood!
