What do you think people of God? What does God say? What does the Bible say about abortion? Simply put, abortion is murder. It is the killing of a human being created in the image of God.

From CBN:

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley broke new ground Tuesday by calling for a national consensus on the issue of abortion.

In a speech to Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America (SBA), Haley said there should be federal legislation regulating abortion and she’s ready to work with both sides to find a compromise. More Here

From Yesterday:

I saw Mark Lee Dickson’s report on Facebook around 4am today! What a gift to wake up to this news! Thank you sir for your hard work and this report! I have always loved Edgewood, we have many friends in that area! REAL DOWN TO EARTH PEOPLE! Salt of the earth! Christian values prevail! JESUS! JESUS! JESUS! PREVAILS! All Glory to GOD! ARISE ALL OF NEW MEXICO AND ALL OF AMERICA TO THE TRUTH OF GOD! What does the Bible say about abortion? Simply put, abortion is murder. It is the killing of a human being created in the image of God.
On Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning, the Town Commission of Edgewood, New Mexico (pop. 6,174) considered a “sanctuary city for the unborn” ordinance requiring compliance with federal abortion statutes. The vote of the city commission was 4-1, making the Town of Edgewood the SIXTY-SIXTH CITY in the nation and the FOURTH CITY in New Mexico to pass a Sanctuary Cities for the Unborn ordinance.
The council meeting began at 5:00 pm on Tuesday night, and concluded over eight hours later at 1:44 am on Wednesday morning.
Way to go Edgewood, New Mexico!

  1. This story is hard for me, as I have to fight past my political non-support for Ambassador Haley (for reasons I won’t go into here). That said, if abortion is murder (and it is), and if words have meaning (and they do), then when Ambassador Haley speaks of “national consensus” and the need for federal legislation “regulating” abortion, the implication is clear that she is willing to accept continued abortion throughout the US – so long as a majority of citizens (or their elected representatives) approve. Standing against the killing of unborn babies is a matter of the heart and faith, not political expediency. It’s not a subject about which we should “stick our finger into the wind” or seek the path of less resistance. In fact, once federal regulation is enacted, the resulting law enshrines whatever has been decided, potentially impeding more restrictive state or local laws. Every life is precious and made in the image of God, and is known by God (in the womb or not). When a child is saved from abortion, it brings God glory; however, we must also strongly consider the temptation to presume that simply because a political consensus is reached that the result is automatically accurate, good or biblical. I’m reminded of recent political issues involving national health policy (COVID-19) and biological science (e.g., gender issues). I believe we need leaders, elected or not, who stand for life as a matter of faith – unlike the last GOP candidate for New Mexico’s governorship who spoke about being “pro-life” but was nonetheless willing to accept a starting position in which 95% or so of ongoing abortions would have been unaffected. I’d rather lose an election to our current governor as a strong advocate for life than to lose an election to our current governor as an equivocating candidate for life! And finally, a subsequently-enacted federal law about abortion might not be so easily undone by the SCOTUS, so we should prayerfully consider which candidates we support. Lord, bring discernment, mercy and wisdom in this matter!
