I know I am stepping on toes when I say this…BUT! I see too many churches with only 10 to 15 in people in attendance. I have suggested merging churches to some pastors and elders in the past. I am heart broken to see churches with a good sized building with so few congregants, with unused rooms, up keep costs, heating bills, etc.., that money could be used to fund missions, and feeding the hungry. Look what is happening at our college campuses across America! WOW! I beleive with all my heart, with what has started at Asbury, is a message to the American Church! Tear down your walls! It is not about you and me! It is all about JESUS! JESUS! Denominations and walls mean nothing to these revivals! Long-time Pastor Don Kimbro stated in his message about the Asbury Revival, “Oh, how we need our younger generation to come alive in the Spirit of God and teach and remind us older folks, that God is alive and far above our heralded denominational traditions. We need revival in our land more than ever. The best thing we can do, if we can’t go and be there, is to pray for the students and ask God to keep this Move growing and not allow recalcitrant hands from trying to stir the pot and take it over.”  When God was moving me out of KKIM radio into FGGAM, Long-time Pastor Ray Franks, of Albuquerque gave me great advice, and it confirmed for me what God had shown me and Sharon, “Dewey, do not start a church, there are to many struggling, with very few people attending, there is a church on every street corner in Albuquerque, we don’t need anymore.” AMEN! I surely miss the wisdom of Pastor Ray! I get asked often, “So where is your church Dewey?” I answer, its the world! Amen! What would JESUS do?

I beleive with all my heart, GOD IS SHAKING THE CHURCH IN AMERICA!

Come together church…..learn from Asbury.

What Is Happening at Asbury University Wasn’t Planned—Is This the Start of Widespread Revival?

You can’t plan for revival. It’s messy. It involves risks. Belief is the fuel that strokes the fire of revival. You can’t manage it, and discipleship must follow, Gallaty shared regarding the lessons he’s learned about revival “Personally, I believe what’s happening at Asbury will sweep the nation,” Gallatay said. “If God decides to blow upon our nation with a fresh wind like he did in 1970, the full effects will not be realized for years.” More Here

The Baptist Press Reports:

FORT WORTH (BP) — At a time when many churches are closing as they try to navigate the difficulties of ministering in a post-COVID world, Pastor Philip Levant is seeing God meet the needs of two churches through their willingness to cooperate.

Earlier this year, God put it on Levant’s heart to pray that the bilingual church he pastors, then known as Iglesia Bautista La Vid (The Vine Baptist Church), could have its own building. For almost seven years the church had been meeting at Shady Oaks Baptist Church in Hurst.

In August 2022, during a prayer and connection meeting held among Hispanic pastors from the Tarrant Baptist Association, Levant became aware that Emmanuel Baptist Church in Fort Worth, another bilingual congregation, was without a pastor. While praying for Emmanuel (also known as Templo Bautista Emmanuel), Levant had the idea to inquire about the possibility of his church merging with theirs—simultaneously meeting a need for both. After several meetings and prayer, God moved in a way that allowed the churches to merge. More Here
