Scheduled Power Blackouts Across Ukraine

Russia Continues The Destruction Of Ukraine’s Infrastructure

CBS News reported last night, November 5, 2022, that regularly-scheduled blackouts in Kyiv and seven other regions of the country are being implemented because of Russia’s continued and devastating strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

Russian forces have continued to pound Ukrainian cities and villages with missiles and drones, inflicting damage on power plants, water supplies and other civilian targets.

Although Russia has denied using drones from Iran, the Islamic Republic’s foreign minister stated yesterday, for the first time, that Iran had supplied Moscow with “a limited number” of drones before the invasion.

Ukrenergo, the sole operator of Ukraine’s high-voltage transmission lines, announced that scheduled, daily blackouts of six or more hours per day will take place in the greater Kyiv region and several other regions – Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Poltava and Kharkiv.

As of November 4, 2022, Ukraine’s official website reports that Russia has suffered the loss of approximately 74,840 troops, 2,750 tanks, 5,580 armored vehicles, 1,772 artillery systems, 277 aircraft, 258 helicopters and 397 cruise missiles – among other military related losses.  The loss of life on all sides is just heart breaking and so very unnecessary.  For additional information, see Ukraine’s official website HERE.

My brothers and sisters, the humanitarian tragedy in the making is hard to overstate.  Let’s continue to pray for a swift and just end to the loss of life, suffering, unimaginable pain and trauma.  The only Answer to this is Jesus!
