The Price Has Been Paid…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. As I sit at my table this morning and glance out my window, the snow is melting from the rain we are receiving. It looks darker than usual, but through all the darkness signs of the light shines through.
Good Friday was a dark day for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was placed in his tomb, but he knew what his destiny was going to be. On the third day, he arose in justification to God that all sin was washed away as he took on the sins of the world.
Isn’t it great to know that you can accept the greatest gift ever given to mankind for free. Free, totally free. It cost you nothing and Him everything. It’s over the top, mind blowing and life changing. The gift of salvation is for everyone. You can be empty handed today and have the greatest wealth living on the inside of you. That’s good news. Actually, that’s the best news I have ever experienced.
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you for grace. Thank you for your great love for us. There is nothing that we can do to earn this. You loved us enough to pay the price, the full price and nothing can be added to it. You said it is finished. John 19:28-30 After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
Father, how do we ever say thank you? We want to worship you both day and night. Never forgetting our brokenness and how you turned our darkness into light. When you said the work was finished, the price has been paid, it’s exactly what you meant.
Father, today, all across this globe, people can talk with you (pray) and receive forgiveness of their past, present and future sins. They can experience life abundantly here on earth and eternal life in heaven. Amen? Amen!
