I LOVE THIS MESSAGE FROM ETHAN RENOE!!!! It fits so many Americans. Cults have damaged America greatly! Sadly, this fits American politics! People fall for cults because JESUS is lacking in their lives! Amen! BOY! This preaches! Thank you Ethan for addressing this serious issue in America, itn is a main reason for causing America to fall into hell. If you are a Christian you vet everything and everybody through the Word of God. You also have to vet everything you say and do with the Word of God, you seek His face everyday for guidance. You also do not let just anybody hook their wagon to your wagon, that has been a hard lesson for me to learn! I am to trusting at times, Thank the Lord I have Sharon and our mentors to help me.

An elder must be blameless, faithful to his wife, a man whose children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient. 7 Since an overseer manages God’s household, he must be blameless—not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. 8 Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. 9 He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it. Titus 1:6-9

What does living by the word of God mean?
In John 6:63, Jesus said it is the Spirit that gives life. So, it is the Spirit of God using the word of God that produces life. … The word of God is living truth. It is able to quicken and make alive. So, the word of God is alive.
What does it mean to apply the word of God?
When one practically applies the word of God, this means that a person will go to the bible and locate a scripture or scriptures pertaining to the situation they are going through. … Once the person gains an understanding of the scripture, they will then begin to apply it to their everyday life

FROM CHURCHLEADERS, written by Ethan Renoe!

We’ve all looked at people who join a cult and looked down at them from some superior plane of knowledge.

“How could they fall for that?
Don’t they know better?
Can’t they see through this guy’s lies?”

You watch the Netflix series Waco, or a documentary on Scientology and begin to see consistent themes. Why do people join cults? The answer is multifaceted but consistent:

  • Something is lacking in their lives
  • The leader promises them some sort of fulfillment
  • They want to better themselves
  • They feel some inherent lack in themselves and this offers wholeness
  • They feel cut off from other people and want community

The list goes on. None of these things are terribly surprising.
